Equinox Swiss: A Mid-Tournament Snapshot
We’re midway through the Equinox Swiss, currently in round 3 of 5, and the competition is fiercer than ever. Ed Kline is leading the pack with a perfect score of 3 points, setting the stage for a highly anticipated match against Tariq next week. This showdown is not to be missed as Ed edges closer to breaking the 2,000 rating mark once again, showcasing his skill and dedication.
Not far behind, Preston, Aaron, and Joe are making their presence felt, each vying for the top spot. Their remarkable strategies and determination make the conclusion of this Swiss tournament something every chess enthusiast will want to witness.
We’re also thrilled to welcome new members Malen Park, Peng Yue, and Hassan Boyouk to our community. Their participation adds to the vibrant and competitive spirit of our club. A warm welcome to each of you!

Attention, players! Our blitz tournament this Saturday, March 9th, is fast approaching, and time is running out to secure your spot. Currently, we have 12 participants registered, surpassing the interest level from our last tournament at this point . This ensures another day of thrilling chess battles, laughter, and camaraderie.
If you’re planning to join us for a fast-paced day of chess and fun, please register as soon as possible. Your timely registration helps us plan better, ensuring we have the right amount of food and refreshments for everyone. As our club grows and hosts rated tournaments and special events like our much-loved pizza nights, we’re inviting members who are able to contribute $20 annually to support these initiatives.
